In a recent article about social shopping and mobile applications, Eliane Fiolet asserts that social shopping has been one of the top web trends of 2010. She thinks of this development to be mainly driven by (a) the success of group-shopping service Groupon, (b) the fact that social networking sites enable people to seek product recommendations from their friends, (c) the rise of mobile usage for shopping and (d) a selection of innovative mobile shopping applications like our Scandit app. We agree.
